# Tokenization

> The SmartFunds engine — turning real-world assets into structured, investable vehicles.

The **Tokenization** engine is where a real-world asset becomes a structured,
investable vehicle. It owns asset onboarding, SPV lifecycle, identity and
compliance, and the deterministic deal execution flow.

## What it does

## Product archetypes

The engine supports a library of structure archetypes — royalty financings,
capped revenue participations, asset-backed credit facilities, and tokenized
equity / fund interests — each extending the canonical lifecycle to fit its own
economics and compliance posture.

## Compliance posture

Tokenization offerings are designed as **Reg D 506(c)** SPVs for accredited
investors, with full data-room transparency. KYB onboarding verifies every
ultimate beneficial owner. Compliance decisions are recorded in an auditable
trail and gate the lifecycle deterministically.

  the off-chain legal and recordkeeping layer that the on-chain representation
