Strata is honest about what it enforces mechanically and what requires trust. This page lays out the trust assumptions and the integrity guarantees that underpin the system.

Trust assumptions

Collateral valuation depends on oracle adapters and approved valuation methodologies. The Risk Committee governs oracle sources, haircuts, and methodology; oracle override is an explicit emergency power.
srUSD and srSILVER are backed by reserves held in SPVs. Holders trust that those reserves are custodied and accounted for as described.
Autonomous agents operate within policy ceilings. The integrity of those bounds depends on the policy layer and the Risk Committee’s parameters.

Ledger integrity & ownership lineage

Strata maintains an auditable lineage between the off-chain record of truth and the on-chain representation. Ownership changes are coordinated as deterministic state transitions, so every position can be traced back through the deal lifecycle to its originating asset and legal vehicle.
Strata does not claim a token is the asset. It maintains a verifiable chain of custody and ownership across the on-chain / off-chain boundary, reconciled by a canonical data model and state machine.

Risk management as a live function

Collateral ratios, issuance caps, redemption-pool capacity, and concentration limits are not set-and-forget. They are governed parameters, actively managed by the Risk Committee, with emergency powers (pause, quarantine, oracle override) held in reserve for stress events.

Collateral & peg

The autonomous redemption floor and its residual risk.

Governance

Who holds which authority, and how it decentralizes over time.
